Continuing my tea-drinking adventures. (Un)fortunatley I am no longer sick. Obligations return.
#6. Earl Grey I steeped earl Grey with lemon this morning. Earl Grey is probably my favorite black tea. Ive had moments where ive actually had cravings for it. Works well with a lot. Honey, Lemon, milk, sugar, or all of the three. I think it could even work well with cookies. Earl Grey has (artificial) bergamot oil added. I never actually looked up what bergamot is until now. It's a fruit which is a hybrid of lemons and bitter oranges.
#7. Sencha I actually got 2 Sencha from Japan. One from a larger company, Tsubakisozen. That store had a lot of interesting flavors. The other one, I got from a family-owned company. I believe I should brew sencha differently tomorrow though. Will try the other kind. As I didn't fully brew it, I couldn't appreciate the flavors. Had a soft, non-bitter, slightly grassy flavor.
I also drank some random tea I got from my dad at christmas. We had hardly ever spoken until recently - and when he learned that I enjoyed tea, he will send me tea from time-to-time. It's really sweet of him, and that alone makes my tea taste 100 times better.
